RT @Tuesdaytweetup: Next #tweetup confirmed: 1st Oct, 7pm, Slug and Lettuce, #Southampton. (Or 5.30 if you want to join the tw-eat-up)
@OzoneVibe sounds like a good recommendation, but not somwhere I'm usually near.. what's your local favourite (ours is jehinghar)
having a little play with IE9
To be honest FF 4, Chrome, IE9 are all starting to look very similar
gmail isn't working nicely in IE9 (for me) *at all*. Search doesn't work... Anyone else? #ie9 #fail
Off to London tomorrow http://bit.ly/chNGwk
eek tomorrow, actually *today*. Is it that late already!
@nnubeh no not really! should sleep! Having a nice time in NYC?
Is "Meza" in soho (london) a fairly smart dressed place? Maybe not jeans+trainers...
wierd, had a dream I'd missed my train to london and overslept 7 hours, only to wake up 5 mins before alarm ....
Off to london today, not for work for a change. Hoping rain holds off for photos. Where though. (did city-stpauls/southbank b4)
@PapaGB ah yes that small village. Think Im going up to camden, then a wander, have to end up in soho 6pm. Not sure where yet. photos..
@AndyCDoyle had a quick play last night. First site I tried was gmail, which I had problems with (search). Now using chrome. may retry later
@peregr1n theyre probbaly the structure that did best getting people home after the volcano incidents - lots of congrats then...
@peregr1n they vary in scope/quality too. I mean is a cruise a pkg holiday? If it includes a flight?
@pastamaster39 bean to greenwich lots, though not recently. Am gussing visibility not great today though primrose hill sounds interesting
@pastamaster39 thanks for suggestion. like that it's on way back from camden
@pastamaster39 thinking I may wander around camden/regents pk/primrose hill & then head to st pancreas to look at thestn (like architecture)
@pastamaster39 forcast suggests rain fair bit of pm. Oh well. I'm off there anyway. thx for tips
@macie_sherwood you're not one of those that leaves alarm going off. My son does, about 3 times, by which time I'm awake anyway. Grrr.
@littlecough could they be dropping adsl, but just going oro fttc instead. Can always hope... #BTfail
@amandagolding The speed my newish Win 7 laptop takes to boot/be *usable* I could prob do a main course...
@opensourcerer I use both, *nix since mid 80s, would v. much depend on audience & other constraints. As *nix fan, W7 has much good 2 #Ubuntu
@opensourcerer The big wins for #Ubuntu are openness of platform & packaging(deb etc) IMO. W7 still IMO on usability ,pm tho gap closing
So much nicer travelling to london off peak. Fairly quiet. Not sure am relishing a late train home nr midnight tho.
@Soggous theres a #f1 photograph exhibition at proud gallery so looking forward to seeing that.
@littlecough fttc=fibre to the cabinet. They put the dsl kit in big green boxes in street. Shorter line=quicker. Optimistic tho..
Radio silence now thanks to brilliant 3g coverage -not- on train to london. Zaps battery if you dont go offline!
Grabbing a coffee in camden
@paulbackhouse thanks for tip. Tho dont know what time i will get back to stn. Have to practice sardine style sleeping by the sound of it...
Threatened to rain but sky looking more blue now. Even a Little sunshine
@xplane0202 london fine. Just in starbucks at camden lock. Never been here before. Seems a trendy place. Lots of wacky arty gothy shops.
@xplane0202 glad bus was fine.. College sounds like great fun.
@vixisabel would love to go there sometime. What part are you off to?
@deanupton ppl with too much money. No way can i afford insurance for teenage son 3k+ not happening. I dont think thats mean. Taxis cheaper

@elsua listened to your life without email on net@night. Fantastic segment. Everyone should listen to it.
Off to the proud gallery i think to check out the #f1 exh
Didnt make it that far before checking out stables market and grabbing a scrummy chinese takeaway lunch
The staff at the chinese takeaway in the stables are working very hard to get custom. Good on them.
Camden is such a microcosm of diverse city culture
Lovely view from primrose hill but phone doesnt do it justice. Sun out too.
3.2km from here to where i have to be in 2 1/4 hours. Sun so think i'll walk. Love london for pleasure in good weather
Amazing. Stopped at pub in marylebone for pitstop after walking all pm and stunned when barman asks for 1.99 for the pint!
Samuel smiths old brewery bitter. Yorkshire bitter so prob not my fav but a pleasent refreshment.
Angel in the field is the name of the place
@jon_read @motorracinghosp "angel in the fields" marylebone. See profile for link to blog - lhs has links foursquare-gowalla for exact loc
Camden stables market http://post.ly/xxIT
@jon_read well i would be tempted but its purely a quick liquid stop. Off 2 customer feedback session with 3uk shortly which should be diff.
On way home now. Interesting evening with some of three's social media team.
Playing with three mifi (borrowed). Seems to work better than phone for data connection.
Wondering what time i will get to sleep train->taxi->pizza...
Saw a new kindle tonight in the flesh. The screen is wacky. So does NOT look like a screen. Not sure how it handles water/sand tho....
Not really doing too great on power usage today. On *third* battery of day.
Browsing/twitter on swt trains loads better with wifi am sure than with various phones ive tried. Seems to handle reconnection better
Wifi->mifi
